“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind”

Romans 12:2

Stay away from the contaminating influences of this fallen and corrupt world. Keep your mind safe and away from temptation and the corrupting mindset of the spirit of the age. Renew your mind each day by meeting with the one who gave it to you and knows what is best for you and how to keep your mind healthy. Read and meditate on the Word of God and seek to diligently obey its instruction. You will have a rich and deep life in God and be a truly free person. If Christ sets you free you are free indeed…

It is our responsibility to make straight and true paths for our feet, that we stay away from temptation that would drag us down.

We keep our lives free from the contamination of this world and foster deep spiritual relationship with God and other Christians with the mind of Christ. All violence, unclean was and unfaithfulness must be actively put out of our life, so that we are clean for the filling of the Spirit of God. We cannot cope with this world or Satan, who would overwhelm us, but we are victorious in Christ. This means we confess our sin and live godly lives for the glory of God.

We may not fit in with social settings and may find ourselves left out and unpopular, for the way of Christ is straight and narrow.

Even so-called “Christian” events and settings may well be closed to us, as we avoid all error and seek the spread of the kingdom of God. Self must be daily put off from the throne of our life and Christ be all in all.
