Our beautiful planet is in terrible trouble in many significant ways. The times and seasons are becoming smudged and unpredictable; the economics of the world hang by a thread; the politics and social order has been contaminated by sin. Many look on with dismay, as the fabric of our society is ripped apart by moral and sexual issues that are bringing the beautiful humans into confusion and doubt. People turn to religion and are constantly making new rules for living that are leading vast amounts of people astray. We are greatly confused about our identify as people and the constant barrage of pressure to conform leaves us barren and worthless.

We have become unprofitable, and live our lives for self and sin. There are no clear boundary lines any more and people are unclear about their sexuality and identity. Never have we needed a Saviour more.

Where shall we turn?

To whom shall we turn?

There is a Saviour and God who stands ready to heal and resurrect our souls, which still languish in moral sorrow. He is the forgotten Christ; the baby in the manger; the suffering servant on the cross at Calvary.

We know something of Him, and can read about Him in the Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. He is the eternal God come in the flesh, to rescue us from our sinful state, give us a new life and put His Holy Spirit in us that we can live godly lives for His glory and our good.

He offers us a full and free salvation if we will but turn from our evil and repent of it, and believe in Him, Jesus Christ the Lord of all. We must search our hearts and face up to our wrong doing, be sorry for it, and put our hope in Him alone.

There is no other Saviour. All other saviours are false and will never bring us safely to heaven. Our lives are so short and fleeting and eternity is forever, so it behoves us to see this Saviour God and give our whole self to Him. He is trustworthy because of who He is and His promises never fail.

We may never decipher all the answers, but to know this Saviour Jesus brings us life and peace with God. This is a state of being that this world can never give us. All other gospels are false and only Jesus can give us hope for the future. We need to be honest with ourselves and face our inner conflicts. This we can’t bear without Christ and the comfort of His amazing love.

Beloved, give up the tawdry trappings of this mortal life and seek eternal life in Him. I urge you to read the Bible, especially the gospel of John, and see Him for yourself as you read the previous Word. You will not regret it, but will come to understand the beauty of the Lord and His amazing salvation. I pray you will seek Him because the end of all that we know is coming and only those who are ready for the return of Jesus will find the kingdom.
